Rana’s introduction to and interest in yoga began back in the early ’90s after she graduated university in the US, and attended her first yoga/meditation class in Cyprus. But it wasn’t until her first ‘power yoga’ class in Dubai, years later, that she developed a full-blown love affair with the practice of Ashtanga yoga, which she practiced for the next 3 years! She traveled to India in 2006 where she got her teaching certification, and by then, had expanded her practice to incorporate other styles, including Yin, Vinyasa, and Iyengar.
With a degree in Sports Medicine, Rana has always been passionate about anatomy, and using the body, through movement, breath, exercise, dance, to achieve optimal health and vitality. Her teaching is a beautiful combination of breath, movement, meditation, contemplation, with a very strong focus on self-honoring, self-acceptance, and self-love.
Her passion is working with women, and bringing a divine feminine approach to the practice. After years of self-exploration, in various modalities, she shares a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as compassion and generosity, helping women learn to appreciate themselves, strengthen their bodies, connect with their minds and emotions, and learn to not only thrive but shine!
